| Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays Preview - August 26th |
|
What a difference a month of baseball can make. Heading into the All-Star break, the Tigers looked primed to take over the American League Central and handle the challenges emanating from the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins franchises. Instead, they dug themselves into a hole by losing a fair chunk of their games and losing so much ground that they are no longer a factor in the division race. The Toronto Blue Jays, on the other hand, have played well enough to make the Playoffs, but they are, unfortunately, playing in baseball's most difficult division, which has them relegated to fourth place and another October spent on the golf course. They should be able to take care of the Tigers fairly easily in this one, and betsfreebets.com is betting on the Toronto Blue Jays to win your free bet. If there has been one bright spot that the Tigers can take out of this season, it is Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera's 28 HR and 96 RBI along with his .340 batting average has been all the rage in the Motor City this season. Cabrera is quickly showing that he is the preeminent hitter in Major League Baseball, and the Tigers are looking like the got the best of this trade with the Marlins even though Dontrelle Willis ultimately didn't pan out. For every Cabrera on the roster, though, the Tigers have two hitters that are underachieving and costing the team victories. Ryan Raburn, Alex Avila, and Brandon Inge are all struggling at the plate, and it was Avila who just recently got into a heated dugout dispute with Armando Galarraga over a misinterpretation of signs. This does not bode well for the Tigers moving forward, and it is a terrific reason to place your free wager on the Toronto Blue Jays. Online betting shops have to be puzzled with how to set lines for the Toronto Blue Jays. Here is a team with a great deal of talent and a record well above .500, but they just haven't been able to break through the wall put up by the Rays, Yankees, and Red Sox. Still, they should be proud of what they have accomplished this season because they have performed very well for the most part. Credit goes to the young starting pitching staff who is really showing a lot of moxie considering that some of them were thought to be at least a season or two away from even contributing on the Major League level. This terrific starting pitching mixed in with a batting order that finally seems to be coming together has gotten the Blue Jays plenty of victories, and it will lead them to one more big free bet win over the Tigers at Rogers Centre. There were a lot of expectations for the Tigers going into this season, but their hand was forced due to a plethora of injuries that they have suffered at different points throughout the year. While it has been a disappointing season, don't expect Detroit to just turn the rest of the season in. They will put up good battles from here on out, but against the Blue Jays, it won't be enough. Free wagers should follow the betsfreebets.com selection of the Toronto Blue Jays for Thursday, August 26th. |
